A few years ago I asked my girlfriend to marry me under the fireworks at our state fair! It was a wonderful way to celebrate our time dating each other and a very symbolic way to prepare for our marriage. Under the bright lights and booms of the fireworks we truly appreciated the moment and looked forward to our future together. Looking back, the sights and sounds of that evening were very symbolic of the life and times that were in front of us. Trusting in God and his keen ability to use miracles, signs and wonders are an awesome way to let his believers know that he is in charge if only we give him our trust. As believers, we should be aware of these miracles, signs and wonders in our life. By doing so, we are assured that our heavenly father is guiding our way with his made available Holy Spirit.
After getting engaged and getting married at our home on a local river God has really blessed our family. So many small things he has prepared for us along with the blessings of a child and another on the way. Where we live mother nature is plentiful and very much appreciated by myself. Growing up I developed a wonderful appreciation for animals, fish and all of mother nature’s habitats. Recently, while spending time alone down by our river bank, I have had the greatest privilege of being visited by a Bald Eagle. The first time the eagle showed himself to me towering in the sky I was in such awe. I could not believe that I was fortunate enough to bear witness to such an amazing bird. Since then the eagle has appeared to me several more times. One time while he had just caught a large rabbit and I was fortunate enough to experience the hunt with him watching him while he ate. Just yesterday this amazing eagle was circling above me while he hunted for fish as I looked up. I took a few minutes and sat in the recent snow and watched with the greatest appreciation of our God that was blessing me with this miracle and sign and a wonder to me!
I began doing research of the appearance of bald eagles and have been blessed to learn what it symbolizes. There are many similarities to the bald eagle and Christian believers in their walk with our Heavenly Father and his wonderful Holy Spirit. The Bald Eagle and the Christian believer is a great analogy showcasing the truth of each. Along with this powerful analogy is the spirituality similarities of this magnificent bird and the magnificent power of the Holy Spirit that lives in us all!
